The Extreme Hot Weather Protocol will be activated at 11AM on Tuesday, July 14, and remain in effect through 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, this week. During this period, temperatures are expected to reach into the mid-to-high 90s, with the heat index surpassing 100 degrees at times.

The Town of Manchester mailed the tax bills for the October 1, 2025 Grand List on June 22, 2026. The first installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2025 are due and payable on July 1, 2026. Failure to pay any tax that is due by August 3, 2026 will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2026.
The Lutz Children’s Museum is proud to be the home of the official Connecticut state groundhog. Crowds of dedicated fans gather at the museum each year on Groundhog Day to hear his prediction.
Chuckles will be making his live annual prognostication from Lutz Children’s Museum this coming Groundhog Day Friday, February 2, 2024 in person. Guests are asked to pre-register for the event online on our Get Tickets page.
We will live stream the presentation via our Facebook page and the regular news outlets will carry their portions of the event. The live stream should start at approximately 6:30 am. We welcome our annual Groundhog Day visitors with light breakfast food and beverages. Once the event is over we will be open to the public as usual at 9 am that day. Please remember reservations are required for admittance.
