The Water Department will be flushing water mains in areas of the distribution system. Please see the attached list of streets for this week of flushing.Fire flow tests and hydraulic capacity tests of the system will also be done during this week in an effort to decrease the disturbances to our customers.

For our Wednesday, July 12, 10:00 a.m. Genealogy Group meeting, we are visiting the Connecticut Genealogy Society Office and Library. The office opens to the public at 11:00 a.m., but manager Stephanie Hyland invites us there earlier, so meet us there at 10:00 a.m. Stephanie will tell us about their organization and explain how to use the collection. They are open most weekdays from 11:00 to 3:00 and have a large collection of books and references that can help in your searches.The office is located at 175 Maple Street, East Hartford. Here's their website. Please note that Exit 5(b) off Route 2 is closed, so take 5(a)-High Street.
