Over the next 2 weeks, crews will be doing a leaf collection test run in select areas to test equipment functionality. This is not the official leaf pickup. A second, formal pass will follow later to collect leaves properly. The official leaf collection programs begins November 10. Thank you for your patience while we fine-tune the process.
Fall Back! Clocks go back one hour on Sunday, November 2nd at 2 a.m.The Manchester Fire Department reminds you to also change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and test them monthly. Please replace your smoke alarms every 10 years and carbon monoxide alarms every 7 years.

Nora Toomey, a Clinical Herbalist, will present a program titled, “Garden Tea Party, A Beginners Guide to Herbal Tea Making” at the May 8th meeting of the Manchester Garden Club. Ms. Toomey, owner of TRUE BLOOM, will speak about advantages of growing and formulating our own blend of teas, as well as recipes for common ailments. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Assumption Church Hall, 27 Adams Street S in Manchester. Doors open at 6:45. The meeting is open to the public at no charge.
