Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.
In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. The Manchester Garden Club will host a program by Lynda Tingley on the Mass Design styles of floral artistry. Mrs. Tingley, a former president and current member of the club, will present and discuss several live arrangements in addition to a photo montage of the various designs. She has won awards at the CT Flower Show for her work. The meeting will be held on Monday, April 10th at 7:00 p.m. at the Assumption Church Hall, 27 Adams Street, S. Doors open at 6:45.
