The Manchester Police Department is issuing an Snow Emergency Parking Ban in advance of a significant winter storm forecasted for this weekend and into early next week.The parking ban will take effect at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, and will remain in effect until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24.
Trash and recycling curbside collection will not occur on Monday, 2/23. The normal collection schedule will be pushed back 1 day all week. Residents should keep their trash and recycling bins away from the streets and sidewalks until after snow cleanup has been completed.

Free history walks in Manchester with the Town Historian and associates
West Cemetery walk and stone-cleaning demonstration on Sunday, July 13, at 2:00 p.m., located off Spencer Street near the entrance ramp to I-384, accessible just beyond the I-384 on-ramp, which enters the cemetery’s northwest corner on the right. Park either at commuter lot, or drive into cemetery.
Cheney Railroad walk on Saturday, August 16, at 1:00 p.m., starting at the southeast corner of the shopping center at 220 North Main Street, near 2 Main Street. About three miles roundtrip, with historic commentary.
Center Memorial Park walk visits the park’s monuments on Saturday, September 20 at 1:00 p.m., starting at the front steps of Town Hall, 41 Center Street.
Landmark District walking tour visits former silk mills, related buildings and streets on Saturday, October 11 at 1:00 p.m., starting at 146 Hartford Road. This will be the 50th Landmark District walk.
