In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Free history walks in Manchester with the Town Historian and associates
West Cemetery walk and stone-cleaning demonstration on Sunday, July 13, at 2:00 p.m., located off Spencer Street near the entrance ramp to I-384, accessible just beyond the I-384 on-ramp, which enters the cemetery’s northwest corner on the right. Park either at commuter lot, or drive into cemetery.
Cheney Railroad walk on Saturday, August 16, at 1:00 p.m., starting at the southeast corner of the shopping center at 220 North Main Street, near 2 Main Street. About three miles roundtrip, with historic commentary.
Center Memorial Park walk visits the park’s monuments on Saturday, September 20 at 1:00 p.m., starting at the front steps of Town Hall, 41 Center Street.
Landmark District walking tour visits former silk mills, related buildings and streets on Saturday, October 11 at 1:00 p.m., starting at 146 Hartford Road. This will be the 50th Landmark District walk.
