Medication Administration with Emergency Anaphylaxis and EpiPen training is taught on Thursday nights starting at 6:15pm taught Live through Zoom
The dates for the following 2 classes are, January 8th, February 5th, March 5th and April 2nd.
6:15pm - 9:15pm - Medication Administration for Childcare Providers and Parents, (full Med Cert) class is 3 hours long
Required by the Connecticut Care 4 Kids Programs, sponsored by United Way & Thrive and approved by the Office of Early Childhood. Students receive a 8" x 11" Medication Administration Certificate. The Certificate is valid for 3 years for oral, topical & inhalant medication and 1 year for injectable medications by a pre-measured commercially prepared syringe (EpiPen refresher)
-Emergency Anaphylaxis and EpiPen training (Epi Refresher) class is 1 hour long and is held simultaneously from 6:15pm to 7:15pm.
Class includes but is not limited to common food & environmental allergens, signs, symptoms of an allergic reaction & the difference between a major & minor allergic reaction. We also cover steps to administer an epinephrine auto-injector and review at least 3 different types/brands of auto-injectors.
Both of these classes are usually held on the first Thursday of every month except January & July due to the Holidays.
