Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.
In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Join local musician and music teacher Mr. Lobster (Christian Loftus) for an interactive concert for kids at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Unitarian Universalist Society East, 153 Vernon St. West. You'll sing, you'll dance, you'll dream, and you'll drink imaginary milkshakes.
Target audience: kids age 3-10, but all are welcome!
