The Town of Manchester mailed the tax bills for the October 1, 2025 Grand List on June 22, 2026. The first installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2025 are due and payable on July 1, 2026. Failure to pay any tax that is due by August 3, 2026 will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2026.
The Extreme Hot Weather Protocol will be activated at 12:00PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, and continues through 6:00PM on Sunday, July 5, 2026. If you are at risk from the heat, call 860-645-5500 for assistance. Individuals who are unhoused and in need of assistance should contact 2-1-1 or MACC Charities. MACC Charities will be handing out water to those in need.
To allow our staff to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the Fourth of July, the Manchester Transfer Station and Landfill will be closed on Friday July 3 and Saturday July 4.Curbside Collection: All residential routes will run with no change to regularly scheduled service days.
Town residents are invited to attend a meeting regarding Manchester’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. The town is seeking resident input on how to spend its federal CDBG funds during the program year that begins October 1, 2023.
Hybrid public hearings will be held Tuesday, February 28th at 11am and 5:30pm. In-person attendees will meet in the Lincoln Center Hearing Room, 494 Main St. Persons who wish to attend virtually must submit a request to hguerette@manchesterct.gov. Only those who submit a request will receive a link to join the meeting.
