Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.

In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. The Unitarian Universalist Society East is hosting an opening reception for an art show entitled “The Community of Earth. “ Pastel artist Jane Penfield challenged fellow UUSE artists to produce a work in the medium of their choosing that embodied their interpretation of this ideal. An enthusiastic group of over 20 members responded. The public is invited to see and experience the results at the opening reception which takes place on Saturday March 4th from 2-4 PM.
