The Water Department will be flushing water mains in areas of the distribution system. Please see the attached list of streets for this week of flushing.Fire flow tests and hydraulic capacity tests of the system will also be done during this week in an effort to decrease the disturbances to our customers.
The Town of Manchester will be conducting a water shut off for system improvements on Friday, May 29th at 8AM to 4PM. These system improvements will happen on 736 - 746 Center St, 14 - 22 Thomas Dr, Chester Dr, Carol Dr.System improvement repairs will take approximately 8 hours.

Connecticut consistently answered requests for supplies for the Continental Army. How were we able to answer the call?
•Monday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. First Church Glastonbury, 2183 Main St., Schultz Hall Host: Historical Society of Glastonbury. “Four Score and Seven Years Ago. Abraham Lincoln’s 87-year U-turn of the Declaration and the Meaning of America.” Lincoln, in his Gettysburg Address, brought Americans back to the Declaration, not the Constitution. It was a “new birth of freedom.”
