Engineering & GIS

The Engineering Division is responsible for the design and inspection of public infrastructure projects (roads, sidewalks, bridges, traffic control signals, water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage facilities) throughout the Town of Manchester. The engineering function entails a variety of activities including surveys, studies and investigations, capital improvement planning, field survey work, design and cost estimating, construction contracting, contract administration, preparation of maps, records and construction status records and reports, and assistance in Public Works Department maintenance, repair and reconstruction.  Engineering staff also reviews private development proposals for conformance to Town standards.
