Center Springs Park

Center Springs Park is a picturesque, 57-acre park in the core of Manchester, bounded by major transportation corridors, residential neighborhoods and commercial districts. During its first decades in existence, the park was an active gathering place, hosting thousands of visitors for annual winter sporting and other events. In recent years, many Manchester residents have rediscovered the park and its potential as a vibrant gathering place.

Center Springs Park was established in 1917, when the Cheney family donated the largely un-developable forty acres from Main Street west to the Town of Manchester. In 1921, the Hilliard family donated an additional seven acres, where later that same year a dam was built to create the six-acre pond on the western portion of the park. During the 1920s and 30s, thousands of annual visitors from the region, including nationally known speed and figure skaters, would travel to the park to participate in ice skating and other winter activities. Accounts at the time reported
approximately 6,000 visitors in 1931 alone (Manchester Evening Herald, March 1931).

Today Center Springs Parks hosts a number of great community amenities including a 18-Hole Disc Golf Course, fishing and observation piers, covered pavilions, public art installations, and home to the Center Springs Lodge, the main office for the Department of Leisure, Family and Recreation.

Center Springs Disc Golf Course

This nine hole course with fly pads and disc catcher pros for baskets. To get to hole 1 take the walking path at the end of the parking lot, go about 300ft and the first tee will be on your right marked by a wooden post. OB- From hole 2-8 the walking path in the middle of the park is OB. Hole 9 the pond, stream, and parking lot are OB.

Lost and found box is the mailbox outside of the Lodge Building. All lost and found disc can be picked up from the during office hours, M-F 8:30AM-4:30 PM.
